Jay, who joined Ampersand as an Operating Partner in 2022, is the President and CEO of former Ampersand portfolio company Adaptas Solutions, a contract manufacturer of mass spectrometry components, that was acquired by IMI plc in 2021. He also serves on the Board of Specac. Previously, Jay spent over 20 years as President and CEO of Detector Technology, the predecessor to Adaptas Solutions and a leading product and contract manufacturer of components and assemblies for laboratory science, analytical, and clinical equipment. Jay holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
