Peter Li

Executive Advisor

Dr. Peter Li, who joined Ampersand as an Executive Advisor in 2022, has over 25 years of experience in life science tools. Peter served as President and CEO of Ampersand portfolio company Nexcelom Bioscience, a developer and marketer of image cytometry products for cellular analysis, from 2006 until Nexcelom’s sale to PerkinElmer in 2021. Prior to Nexcelom, Peter held roles of increasing responsibility at SRU Biosystems, Kodak, Imation, and 3M. Peter is the Co-Founder and current CEO of Conifer Life Sciences Group, a Boston based firm fostering development of new ventures in the life science tools industry. Peter is also a Member of the Launchpad Venture Group and a mentor at MIT. Peter holds a Ph.D. in Physics from Purdue University and a B.S. in Physics from Peking University.
