Patrick D. Walsh

Patrick joined Ampersand as an Operating Partner in 2018, bringing more than 40 years of leadership experience in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries. He currently serves as Executive Chairman of MedPharm, interim CEO and Executive Chairman of Alcami, and Chairman of the Board of ANI Pharmaceuticals. Since joining Ampersand, he has held executive roles in several portfolio companies, including CEO of Avista Pharma and TriPharm Services. He has also served on the boards of Brammer Bio, Landec, and Avid Bioservices. Over the course of his career, Patrick has been CEO of six pharmaceutical companies and a director for more than 15 healthcare organizations. Earlier, he was CEO of Kadmus Pharma, acquired by Organon, and President, COO, and board member of Gensia-Sicor, later acquired by Teva. Patrick brings extensive expertise in global pharmaceutical manufacturing and laboratory operations, including fill-finish, API production, formulation, manufacturing, and analytical development.
