Jonathan Hunt

Jonathan joined the Ampersand team as an Executive Advisor in 2026. He previously served as Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Syngene International, a leading global contract research, development and manufacturing organization (CRDMO), where he led the company’s strategic growth and international expansion from 2016 to 2025. Prior to Syngene, Jonathan spent 17 years at AstraZeneca and Astra in a series of senior leadership roles, including President of AstraZeneca Austria, President of AstraZeneca India and Vice President, Head of Investor Relations, where he managed the company’s relationships with global investors and analysts on behalf of the Board, CEO and CFO. Earlier in his career, Jonathan held commercial and marketing roles at AstraZeneca, Astra and Schering Healthcare. He holds an MBA from Durham University, a B.A. (Hons) in Business and Economics from The University of Sheffield, and completed executive education in Leading Enterprise Transformation at the MIT Sloan School of Management.
